Secant, Inc. announces its ability to transform and load survey
data on behalf of consumer packaged goods and alcohol beverage
clients for greater integration with internal and syndicated data
stores. The integration of survey data provides real time insights
and visibility in the market – a capability made possible
by a strategic Secant partnership.
Secant’s product, Transformer™,
collects and transforms field survey data and integrates this
information with retail account data details. The survey data
is based on current questions or ongoing trend tracking items
that are of interest to management teams. Traditionally field
information has been collected on paper forms, spreadsheets, or
PDA based processes. All of these versions of data collection
pose challenges in realizing the ultimate goal – to provide
timely, accurate insights to the market. The challenges include
the requirement for manual entry which is time-consuming and error
prone, with information consolidation often too late to be useful
or to be acted upon. In addition, the survey data is often unable
to be integrated with data that would provide deeper insights.
